the saddest goodbye

G's dad passed away last 1st of July. We got the call 9am uk time and by 9pm that same day, we were on board the plane that took off heathrow. We don't know how we managed to organise everything in a span of 12 hours but we did.

we got back tuesday night and went back straight to work yesterday. the effect of being sleep-deprived is only starting to take its toll. g is coping but there are times during the night when i would wake up to find him awake. he's devastated that papa won't be there for our wedding. we know how much he's looking forward to it.

goodnight, papa joey. we know that you are watching over us. we love you. you will be sorely missed.
